Default dyno'd today 315 hp @ 13 psi

Finally dynoed today at SFP. Made 315 whp @13 psi pump gas and the car started to get hot.

Come to find out I need a new headgasket. The culprit? too much advanced timing prior to hondata.

Now that the head is coming off im going to do some goodies. Im resurfacing the head, getting a valve job, getting a cometic headgasket and raising boost to 15 psi

Im looking for mid to upper 300 hp range which will be apparent next time on the dyno probably Monday.

I was hoping to run at Moroso IDRC this weekend but thats going to wait. At least I will get an additional 50 hp or so instead of running.

I also might get the Victor X manifold that ive been wanting. Eventually I will reach the 400hp mark

I wasnt even there. They called me at work to let me know. I didnt ask for tq #s. We spoke mainly about what happened to the head gasket and what to do next. I will ask for a complete dyno graph on Monday.

Do you think I can reach upper 300 (360+) hp with 2 more psi and a valve job?
I think its possible...what do you think? I would love to justify where an extra $700 will go.

Edit: I bolted the turbo on to the car before I even knew how to read the size on the turbo. It was a custom ordered t3/t4b from turbonetics by a racer/dealer I know. I will change it soon once im bored of it. Seems like it makes decent power so far...

i don't think you're gonna get 30 hp per psi unless you have a monstrous turbo that's barely being spooled by the 13psi......but if you dyon'd 315 on a leaky headgasket .....i don't see you having a problem hitting ~350 on 15psi once the gasket is fixed & you have the headwork done.

edit: if you get the victor x.... it will help. a bigger turbo would help a lot also.

Yeah tuner said it was an extremely hot day too..

But I was thinking more like 15hp per psi, would bring me to 345 hp @ 15 psi then a valve job = 360 hp. I could be wrong though.

My future plan with the current set up is to add a Victor X, 70mm TB, T4E and maybe tinker with alcohol injection and 20+ lbs. 400 hp easily I think.

I have another b18C1 spare motor and tranny that im considering selling to cover some bills but my original plan with that motor was to sleeve, bore out and put on a 62-1...but thats not for a while.... I want to have fun with the current set up first.

Edit: for being dumb

A valve job or a port and polish?

what is your current intake manifold status? i am fairly new to honda motors, but in my L28 nissan motors days, FI setups really benefited from worked intake mani. most just hone-extruded the stock one. have you considered that by any chance?

dlb1994 & Fast[R] - Compression is 9:1

hybrid901 - im getting a valve job not porting

90crxsi - I have a stock intake manifold. I know its holding back but I plan to upgrade to Victor X maybe after a month or two

if you get anything between 325-340 to the wheels, reliably/safely, on pump gas, thats great.

That is where I am. About 340 reliable whp from a 4 banger 1.8 litre engine on pump gas, is already in the yellow area.
