Dyno'd my b16 today.
Setup as follows:
JDM B16A
gsr cams
itr intake manifold/tb
arp head studs
mini-ram turbo manifold
.57 trim garrett .63 AR stage 3 wheel.
2.5" charge pipe/intercooler pipe
Intercooler? dont know what size
tial 38mm wg
precision 680cc injectors
walbro 255lph fuel pump
2.5" downpipe
2 1/4" exhaust w/ magnaflow muffler.
tuned on crome at 9lbs
street tuned by james of SpeedFactory in Washington.
Thanks to Mr. Ricky E of SpeedFactory of making this happen. Beautiful work on the manifold and his fabrication skills exceeded my expectations, topnotch
James, thanks for the tune They said they've never seen a street tune like this in a long time, it looks so damn perfect. They said they wouldn't even want to change my setup in anyway lol.
Kevin, thanks for fixing my tranny and all the other motor work you did, sorry about my "brand new exhaust cam seal" that I told you about lol. btw. Loving the tranny work :DD.
I went to Intec to do a couple base runs, we had problems with getting the tq reading because of a faulty ignition signal or some crap, Oh well.
What do you guys think? This car is a blast to drive.
Here are some pictures

Re: (Garage 808 Hatch)
Yea it was wierd, I saw part of my torque, the beginning was cutout and the end was cutout LOL, but it looks linear like my powerband.

Re: (chimmike)
Haha, I'll go bigger.. it's wierd the guys who dyno'd my car said that if they were looking at a dyno graph of a supercharged ITR, it would look like mines because of the linear power band. They were impressed because this was a street tune and teh afr's and the powerband is something they havent seen in a long time on a street tune.

Nice it's looking good, a bit laggy but making really good power.. Hmm, can't wait to hit up Pacific Raceways and borrow one of my buddies 24.5" slicks.

Re: (damnraz)
damn for that turbo its very linear, my b16 on a .50 was no where that linear, but then again i was pushing 2X's the boost. get that turbo in its sweet spot and that linear graph will go away. Nice numbers for the small exhaust and boost level though

Re: Dyno'd my b16 today. (damnraz)
I'd suggest looking into an e-cutout. My friend had a stock 1stgen b16a with a 60trim T3 (stg1 wheel) and it made 250whp at 9psi with a 2.5" open dp. With a linear rampup like that, it probably is very fun

Re: (zex_cool)
I didn't really pay attention, but it seems to begin spooling around 3500rpms and I haven't installed my boost gauge yet so I have nothing to look at.

Re: (damnraz)
Looks good, that's a nice chart! Good power for a 2 1/4" exhaust.
I'm glad you're happy with it. Now we need to get it on our dyno and actually dyno tune it, although it looks like it's pretty much right there.

she's cheating on you
Re: (90sedan)
Tune it on E85 and turn up the boost.
For example:
My car, stock b16, SLS turbo kit with prototype manifold

Re: (jdm_dc_fan)
We've had alot of problems with tach signals as well with our dynojet.. I know James personally had a hell of a time with our dyno. I've tried to get ahold of dynojet with ideas but they keep telling me the same ole BS.
I've made 419whp on my b16 on pump gas (stock sleeves)
We also have Q16 in stock if you wanted to up the boost after you have them upgrade that downpipe.
Nice work!

Re: (Garage 808 Hatch)
Yep, I feel the need to upgrade to a 3" downpipe and exhaust soon and get it to the dyno. The car runs and drives like a champ and it's fun too but I have a feeling if I open it up I will gain a good amount of hp/tq. I can tell its holding back power wise though.

Yea my goal was to hit 300whp, I'm close enough. I hope I'll get closer when I get my 3" downpipe/exhaust done.
Car is great, love it.. But I think I need 500whp now LMAO!! so building a b16a block or gsr on the side is going to happen very quickly.
