dyno tuning my car

I have a b16 turbo with hondata
And have some questions about tuning my car. I've read that when you tune your car to 12,5 a/f you cannot use as mutch timing as when you tune your car to 11,8 a/f. But what will make more power?

And i've read somewere on here that you can read you plugs for timing by looking for a change in collor on the ground electrode. Is this right and how does it work? (It said something about collor change before the bent and after the bent)

When i whas on the dyno last time. I noticed that when i give the engine more timing it started run richer and it wasn't making anymore hp. Whas this the max then. Or should i have leaned it out where it started to run richer?
(i didn't had to mutch time on there, because i whas out of money)

I want to be sure that i got everything right next time i go on the dyno
I've read allot on here about tuning my engine myself because i live in the Netherlands and there aren't any good tuners here. Í orderd the book of efi101
but it's still on its way. In the future i want to come to the US and take the efi101 class

Have you read the articles on the hondata web site? Very good info there. Basically they suggest tuning your af ratio, then increasing your timing until you stop making power, then readjust the af ratio one more time, and double check the car wont make any more power by advancing or retarding the timing slightly https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif

Yes i've read the articals on the hondata website. That whas what i did on the dyno. Only at a certain moment it didn't made any more power with increasing timing(increased from .6 to .5 degrees per lbs) but it started to running much richer I didn't looked what will hapen if i put the a/f to 12.5 again Because i didn't had any more time. . Would that made more power?
