Re: dyno results for turbo civic Si (importeclipsegst)
wow nice... i think it could use some tuning. my friend had an Si w/ a greddy kit w/ almost the same set up as you... except he had 310cc inj. and an avc-d boost controller and he laid down about 268hp w/ 240lb of tq. at 10psi...

Re: dyno results for turbo civic Si (AVATAR)
Not very good numbers at all you should invest in hondata or some other good tuning device.. Just for comparison my sohc non vtec engine puts down 196whp at 10psi { yes all cookies excepted}...

Re: dyno results for turbo civic Si (turbozxi)
i dont think those numbers are that great, shes got msd igntion too and only laid 220 whp down on 9 psi
im at 8 psi without cam gears or msd igntion and laid 244whp on 8 psi

Like I said on TR. It must feel allot better but I would get rid of the following and buy Hondata s100/s200 with boost capability (have Vapor tune it if you are in the Hillsborough/Pinellas area).
Jackson Racing FMU
AEM Fuel Pressure Regulator
Msd 6AL
Msd Modified Cap
Msd Blaster SS Coil
Skunk 2 Adjustable Cam Gears
S-afc Fuel Controller

Re: dyno results for turbo civic Si (0x64)
Hmmm... Corn-rows, Ick...
Nice car, nice setup. Might want to see about another tuner, or try to find where the lack of power is at. Should be a little better than that.
Otherwise

Re: (pissedoffsol)
well i still have the stock obd 2 computer and still havent put on the cam gears and AEM FPR, and V-afc yet, the guy that tuned the car (GarageAdvance.com,Home of the 1100hp Supra on stock internals) said that i needed these items to advance or retard the timing for more power as well as a bigger exhaust(mine is 2.5 press bent)and the 450cc injectors, V-afc and the fpr to get rid of the jackson racing fmu. Ok guys then whats the max power i can have without changing the internals? can i push up the boost?

I agree, I made 3 less whp and 10 more lbs of torque @10psi on a smaller GReddy on my D16.
Definatley needs tuning, but still a good way to start

Re: dyno results for turbo civic Si (VTC_CiViC)
take this advice from my experiences....
1) dont adjust your cam gears....dont do much for more power....
2) max i would boost with optimal tuning 11.0-11.5 on air/fuel stock bottom end is 12psi
3) throw away the VAFC....hacks are no good go Hondata.....
4)dont use AEM FPR...go AEROMOTIVE to save headaches
5) FMU's suck
anything else just ask me.....or have Doug call me figuring that's who worked on the car
this is what my 99 Si put out on 10 psi conservatively.....

Re: dyno results for turbo civic Si (PRojectSi2)
Hey PRojectSi2
I take it with those #'s your not using a Greddy kit?
Just wondering what your setup was. I was planning on trying to get near the 250/275 hp range with a t3/t4 myself at around 10psi. I was also wondering if you were still using your stock bottom end as well.

i was thinking the same thing, thats kinda high for 10psi on a greddy kit. what turbo are you running?

Re: dyno results for turbo civic Si (PRojectSi2)
yea doug told me everything to get so i got it and he originally said not to waste the time and money to tune it, but i did anyways and i was kinda disapointed when we got the results, even though its alot more fun to drive than my car with an intake and cat back exhaust(138 whp) but with all the money we spent we expected more, so what kinda gains would i get running a hondata instead of a stock ecu? and whats the difference between an aeromotive fpr and an AEM fpr we decided to go aem cause it matched the fuel rail

Re: dyno results for turbo civic Si (importeclipsegst)
I would expect around 250-270whp @9psi if you are using a tuned hondata. As far as the AEM FPR, there is nothing wrong with it. I use an AEM FPR with my hondata s200 and it's great. Easy to adjust fuel and doesn't look too bad either

You can see gains all across the board becuase your not limited with what you can do. You can change your ignition timing as well as fine tune "everything". FMU's are bad luck. It's like putting a bandade over a knife wound. (not really) but your car will last alot longer and drive alot better with Hondata.
But i say good start and just work on fine tunning and you'll see great results...........most important find a good tuner. Dinotuna (i think that's how you spell his name) is in florida and he does a great job on hondata...he's in tempa.

Re: dyno results for turbo civic Si (HybridcivicLS-T)
#1) oh trust me i would sell AEM in a heartbeat too cause that's what i carry but from personal experience, the diaphram takes a dump too many times....
2) Hondata is a fully tunable engine managment....fairly inexpensive and fairly straight fwd...
3) Do it right the first time so you dont have to keep doin it over
