dyno: peak boost kit, t3/t67, pump gas. 507whp 339 tq
i tuned this car previously to about 440whp, customer changed up fuel regulator and a few other odds and ends. put it back on the dyno and at got to about 475whp at very similar boost levels as before (nicer day out) only took a few more lbs to hit the 500 mark.
peak power was made at 23psi, however once we got to about 19psi the boost started fluctuating which shows in the graph. car is coming back with bigger injectors and race gas next go around, so we will probably just turn the boost back down to the 460 range or so.
hopefully i will have my NLR AMS-1000 set up for dyno use next go around so we can get the boost a little more steady.

Awsome power Joe I really need to ditch my crap manifold.
This still 1.8L ? What intake manifold / TB ?

its your typical set up.
edelbrock intake manifold and TB
sleeves pistons rods etc.
peak boost kit minus intercooler
greddy ic
stock head with springs/retainers
s300
avcr
7psi spring--cause of boost fluctuation

Re: (Bseriescivic5)
ive been trying to get him to get bigger injectors and race gas...but it looks like we are going to run out of fuel pump. looks like a full fuel system is in order!

thats wat i was thinking, most ppl dont go over 420-450 on straight pump

500 on pump is totally beleivable.

Re: (em18u)
23psi and 507whp on pump gas with that turbo? isnt that really pushing the limits? if not then damn I need to turn up the boost and get more out of my car.

Re: (boostincoupe)
this car had s300 before the boost controll option was available.
high horsepower and pump gas is a touchy subject. some cars i'll stop at 400, some 450, and this one started getting to the point i felt we should stop right at 500. i wish there was a bigger gate spring so that the dyno chart wouldnt have been choppy from boost to see if there really was any more room left in it. hell we didnt even need to to tighten plug gap on this car. some cars just like to run clean and make power!
this is how clean the car was running before we ran out of spring. this was actually last dyno session when it was 1000 degree's hotter outside.

Re: (GetawayInMoscow)
Very good results! Any sheets at lower boost levels? Curious to see the powerband (torque primarely)

I dont know about that. Maybe on Honda-Tech

Re: (Adriano)
my car has AEM in it, and there is no better AEM tuner on the east coast than Brad Brooks. Brad tunes all the AEM cars here for us. i have learned a lot from brad over the years
i need to get my street car running so i can learn AEM and get more familiar with the software. there are a lot of people that "tune" AEM cars that do a halfass job and charge a lot of money for it, and the cars run like crap simply because they dont know the software as well as they should to be charging money for it. im slowely getting the hang out it. i know enough to get it down the track and make track adjustments and what not lol
