Default Dyno numbers B16, Drag, Hondata Civic

I FINALLY got to the dyno today. The civic layed down 271HP and 189 ft. lb. of torque @ 10psi. At 8psi, it layed down 248HP and 170 ft. lb. of torque. The best I have seen out of a stock B16 with a Drag kit was 230HP and 150 torque, and I did a lot of looking around on boards. So, I guess this is a pretty good/rare numbers (at least it sure as hell feels like it:bigsmile ). The driveability is amazing. My A/F ratio was 12.0 all the way across (flat). It took 1.5 hours of tuning. This is a very modest tune also. I am also fueled by Mitsubishi now. A set of DSM 450cc injectors now spit out the fuel. Also............. OBD1 ROCKS!!!!!!!!! I don't have to worry about crap codes when running leaded gas now.

Dude those are some sweet numbers. You have 13hp per psi of boost. That is some nice tuning! I hope my car is as efficient when I get it tuned!

This is in a 2k civic EX. I do plan to scan the dyno graph as soon as I get the right power wire for my scanner (the right one was lost somewhere). I have to recognize the master of tuning - Ed. He tunes at places like Balanced Performance and Dynolab in Marietta/ATL area (GA.). Tuning took 1.5 hours. On our baseline run, we hit 250hp right away. Ed looked at me funny when my jaw dropped. I told him that was way more than what I had ever seen at 8psi on a stock B16, but he just thought I was crazy. We tuned at Dynolab which is ran by Art. I highly recommend these guys.

not to rain on your parade, but that's what it should put out. We routinely get 250-270whp on b16's with 8-10psi. Therefor, your tuner has done his job well

I did some math. I am making 170HP per liter of engine. I don't know many 850HP 5.0 Mustangs.

FYI, it was tuned on pump gas. Pics are being developed.

I don't think drag sends everyone the same turbo. If I had to guess, t3/t04E .57 trim/ .63 A/R.

EBP 2000 Civic Si layed down 264whp on 8psi. You should just rest assured your tuner did there job. You don't have a freak or anything. Now just get some traction. With a 106 traps you should break 12's. My friend ran 13.3 @ 99mph with a 1.8 60' time. Good luck man.

Sounds like me. My baseline run was 250whp untuned @ 8psi (DSM 450cc at that time, I think). I have also heard from people that have used Dynolab in Marietta, GA. that it rates power lower than in actuality. I don't know. I just like to say I have a civic that makes over 300hp (at the crank that is ).
