Dyno day with Tony1! Im in the 400hp club!
Sup all. It's been a long time in the making. But I finally made it. My goal was to make 400hp. I thought it was going to be a bad day cause almost hit two deer, then had to drive (untuned) 3 1/2 hours to get there. Not to leave out all the tolls. And you know how tempting it is to get on it when some one rolls up on you. After I got there; it was faster then I even would have thought. An hour later I was on my way home with 400hp. It took only 6 pulls. to Tony.
1st, 2nd pulls - setting the map
3rd pull: 327hp@8psi
4th pull: 384@10psi
5th pull: 395@11psi
6th pull: 402@12psi
Setup:
B18C GSR 10.1 cr
SC61
Nuekin man./ DP 3"
CTR cams
3" Exhaust
Thanks to everyone who helped me get there: Ari at Rotary Performance for dyno time. Tony for the tune up. Chuck and Dustin at Alternative motorsports for piecing it together. Also to everyone that I forgot.

I'm glad you have finally met your goals Rocket. Last time the car made 325whp at 12psi and I told you exactly what to change, and what do ya know, 400whp at 12psi. lol You've got a very solid setup that is capable of ALOT of power when you're ready to put race gas in it.

Alot of people think big power comes from tuning, and that's just not true. Good power comes from a good combination of parts. A good motor, with a good cylinder head is very important. A good turbo setup is just as important. This means an effiecient turbo, manifold, intercooler, piping, etc. If the combination is right, then the power will come easily. The tuners job is to extract the maximum amount of power and keep the engine in 1 piece and running smooth. The power it's going to make is the power it's going to make. If you have a junk setup (not saying that you do) and you expect the tuner to make it make power then you're going to be disappointed. You might notice I always promise good reliable tuning, that's what a good tuner can promise to provide. You can't promise big numbers, because if the combination isn't right, it just won't make big power. Take Rockets previous setup for example, small turbo, cast manifold, and small exhaust. He wanted 400whp on pump gas with 10:1 compression, and that's not going to happen reliably with an inefficient turbo setup. Now the motor makes that easily with about 6 degrees less timing that before. Now I'm not saying that there is no power in tuning, it's just that the tuners job is to make the power that the combination is capable of and keep it reliable.

Re: Dyno day with Tony1! Im in the 400hp club! (2point2)
Before:
Cast manifold (rev hard i think)
2.5" downpipe and exhaust
SC34 turbo
Old ign. components
After:
Tubular manifold
3" downpipe and exhaust
SC61 turbo
new ignition components (cap, rotor, plugs)
That's it, same motor, same ic, etc. Oh, he did paint the outside of the car too.

The fresh paint was able to absorb the heat from the motor, thus making it run cooler, allowing you to gain atleast 10hp. Am I on the right track Tony?

It was white before and black now, so you might be on the right track with heat. Before it was deflecting it back to the motor, and now the body is absorbing it. lol

Tony did you put a T1 Sticker on there because if you did then that's TOTALLY where the horsepower came from! Congrats on the numbers/tune by the way

The key word, reliable!! Tony proving once again why he is the BEST in DFW that people will drive hours to have your car tuned and done right to be reliable. Rocket did the homework to get the right parts, tony just added a good safe tune.
