Default Dyno completed Ls/vtec turbo + nitrous(down low) 385whp Dyno graph shown!

just got car dynod. here are specs:

ls block (gsr crank) 81.5mm
Ported b16a head w/ gsr cams
skunk 2 valve train

Peakboost turbo kit t3/t4oE 60trim
750cc injectors
competition stage 5 clutch
hondata s300
aebs intake manifold
edlebrock throttle body port matched
full 3" exhaust (no cat kteller w/resonator 18" and apexi Ws2 turbo muffler)
35 shot nitrous 3k-5k rpm

the graph shows with and without nitrous. i will be picking the car up later today so will see how much fun it is.

he thought it made a little less power than it should have. it was tuned at 15PSi on pump gas. i had the wastegate recirculated into exhaust that may have restricted it some. but it is a street car i wanted to make it quiet as possible

let me know what you think

Just as a comparison,

Here is mine, B18 (81mm) Type R head,,,,etc etc

Only road tuned, running 7psi as the injectors (550) are max out.
The fuel pressure reg gave out an hour or so prior the dyno run, fortunately over fueling, pig rich 10.6 to 10.9 AFR in boost, still have lots of timing to go back in.
I plan to run 14psi and like you, a splash of gas between 3500 to 7000rpm.

UK Dyno

yeah its the closest good tuner i know of. yeah rick is the one who tuned the set-up. i actually went up there with a all motor b16a in march. i had used nitorus control via hondata s200 the motor ended up blowing. so they worked with me and know i ended up changing block's and turboing it. i am happy with the numbers. i was expecting 400whp though. 385 im sure will still make me

There is no need to spray the motor at all. If you had a huge turbo then maybe. 385whp is a good number though I think there is more in it.

May I ask why there is no need to spray?

all that spray down low will make an abrupt tq increase which will only lead to wheel spin

i would ditch the spray and just be happy

itr cams would get you to 400whp easily

Did you have Jeff tune the N/A set-up? He did my LSVtec turbo in may. Havn't had any engine issues with it and I drive it daily. Do you plan on tracking it up at New England Dragway? What kind of car is it in?

jeff tuned the original all motor 1.6 w/nitorus set-up wen the motor blew. rick did the work on the turbo set-up. i havent had any problems beside no traction until 4th lol. it is in a 99 civic si. the reason why i sprayed the motor was cause it had already been set-up with my previous set-up. so since i figd id get some use out of it. yes i agree its kinda useless considering it already spins mad tire. but its there for future power ect. i actually havent even used it yet its already so fast i havent tried it yet. all its going to do is spin 2-3k rpm sooner than it usually does

i have a question i just took it for a ride. half way through the ride at sompepoint the boost would stop around 9-10. i had it set to 14psi thats where it has been since dyno. its a manual boost controller i tried turning up one turn ( i was told one full turn per psi) to see if it respond it wouldnt in higher gears. is there any reason why this would happen. is it possible the booscontroleer just is not working. cause 9-10 psi you would think it would be running of the wastegate spring?

if it was makin 14lbs before, and now suddenly u are only gettin 9-10 without changing anything, my first guess would be that u have a boost leak, check for loose or torn couplers etc

yea its weird... i'll check for leaks 2mrw morning. its weird though cause in 2nd got like 15-16 quickly and i was getting 12 in third but 4th and 5th on the highway was 9-10psi. it was a noticable power loss it was really steady at 14psi earlier held real good. and now all of a sudden its doing this

it seemed to be fine this morning... i have no idea why it did this. maybe i should look into getting a better manual boost controller. or what boost controller do you guys recomend? i wouldnt mind getting a two stage. is that xs 2 stage any good?? or what could you recomened?

with s300 i wouldnt mess around with any manual controllers, i would get the boost controll solenoid and use boost by gear!

yeah i think thats what im going to do. i have zero traction in 1st and second under boost. and even thrid completly lets loose as well. not always but sometimes it just spins thru third when it hits full boost. i havent even used the nitrous yet i just dont see the point it will only spin sooner. what are some good street tires to use? right now i have nitto neo gens 215/25r18 i know street tires really wont grip too well but some must be better than others. the bgg are good i hear. im thinking i could probably fit 225/25r18 too. just to get a little bit wider tire

well the 18" wheel isnt helping you any, i would go down to atleast a 16" and get some bfg drag radials and use them as street tires
