Dyno comparison: ITR vs GSR cams.
I was quite amazed that the car picked up as much as it did with the cams. I was expecting 20whp maybe, but no i got much more!
Setup:
Stock GSR Motor 173k miles
AFI Street Series turbo kit (57trim)
ARP head studs
ITR cams
ITR valve springs
Blox IM
Tsudo 70mm Exhaust (i cheaped out here )
880cc injectors
E85
Street Tuned on Crome Pro
Max boost was 14.5psi. Duty cycle on my Tru-boost was 42% on the dyno for both runs. The rpm pickup for the last dyno run was not working so i do not know the TQ that it makes now, although im guessing its in the 270-280 range. Peak tq for the GSR cams was 262tq@6100rpm. both dyno runs only went to about 8100-8200rpm. The vtec dip has been fixed now.
Overall im pretty impressed with the ITR cams. But for the $320 i paied for the cams + valvesprings it was well worth it!
The car's best mph before the cams was 123.48, best new mph has been 125.65 at about 2600lbs <---- need to put the teg on a diet!

Very nice, where does your VTEC engage now with the ITR Cams? Imagine what the gains would be going from GSR Cams to Pro-1's with the proper setup!

Right now Vtec is @ 5000rpm, when i had the gsr cams it was 4500rpm... i still think we can lower it a bit to probably 4800...

Nice numbers... I'm wondering how much HP you picked up just for using E85 vs 92-94 octane? Also how much more is E85 then 92-94 octane?

E85 is usually cheaper, about the same as low grade fuel in most places as far as cost. its usually around 100 octane in comparison I believe, i could be wrong.

Well i dont know about power , but i know that off the WG which is 10.5psi i did 343whp with the ITR cams/E85 and i trap 119mph, off WG without ITR cams i was trapping 117-118mph, on pump (92) off wg i would trap 114-115mph... all that was at about 2615lbs..

i bought mine off a friend that changed his ITR cams for some Sk2's...im sure if you looked around and called some shops you could find a pair easily...or you could bite the bullet and buy them directly from Honda ..atleast then you know they are brand new!

Looking good Myles - those are definitely impressive numbers for a bone stock GSR, especially on only 14.5psi w/a 57trim. Looks like TJ did a great job on the tune! We are looking forward to seeing all you guys down there again this summer.

Sucks to hear, I'd take this opportunity to shorten up your gearing and put a B16 3/4 in it, should improve your times/traps quite a bit!
Bryce and trannies just don't get along, haha!
