Dyno Chart on Laskey Racing T3/T4 turbo motor
This motor wsa built for a customer car and I thought everyone would enjoy to see how it did at the dyno. Heres what we put in it:
GSR head and block
Laskey racing stage 3 bottom end
custom JE Pistons 9.5to1
Crower rods
ACL bearings
Benson O-ringed sleeves
Custom specs on machine work on the block
Micro polished crank
Head was ported and polished with ss valves. also has a webcam spring and retainer kit. We also put some Laskey Racing turbo cams in it.
Car had stock tb and Laskey Racing Moded stock gsr manifold
Turbo was a t3/t4e with a .63 on the exhaust and a 54 trim on the intake stage 3 turbonetics. We used 2 1/4 inch piping. Boost was set at 17 pounds. It is a STREET DRIVEN daily driver integra with a DFI unit. Was also tuned on C-16 VP fuel. The dyno graph was set on S-1 so the bumps you are due to an uncleaned graph...would be perfectly smooth on a S-4 setting.

very impressive numbers, especially considering the restrictive 2 1/4 inch piping, let that baby breathe!!

2 1/4 inch piping is fine up to 500 hp. I ran that size on my own race car. Bigger isnt always better on ic piping....Mike

Guess that just goes to show you that it can...I ran a a t3t4 turbo on my race car last season and netted a 10.20 et in the 1/4....You just have to know how to use them...Mike

Nothing special...just showing everyone that a t3/t4 and not even the biggest one at that is still plenty capable at making power...plus spool up quicker for street application.

These are 4th gear dyno pulls and yes...5000 grand with full boost. The dip is there because the turbo comes in strong and vtec engages so the dyno was slipping.

whats with the torque drop off??? I want tourque it looks like it pulls like a bitch up to 5 grand then the torque drops off, but I'll tell you what 300 some ft pounds of torque in my hatch would feel like I was having heart falure.

wow thats an insane amount of tq at only 17psi! what size is the bore? block size? im going to guess that the cams also played a a good role in making that power. by looking at the tq dropoff near ~8kish, the turbo isnt that big either

Re: Dyno Chart on Laskey Racing T3/T4 turbo motor (sparkz)
The turbo was pretty maxed out on boost....could have got a little more out of it but intake temps got hot. Cams have a HUGE bearing on how the car makes torqe and where it makes it. People keep saying to run stock, but I will always dissagree. The idea of the car was to be a street fighter though and spool up was an issue. This thing spooled up fast even with an LS trans. in it. It was tuned local and Brought back to Chicago so altitudes were in good old southern Cali....I think the dip might have had something to do with the vtec switch over and the dyno slipping. It was pretty weird...but still the torqe for a small t3/t4 is waaaaaaay up there, even after that dip. I think someone asked the bore size and it was 82 mm.

Honestly...I dont care what anyone says...torqe is what gets the car in motion...HP is what carrys a car though the lights. This motor would make well over 500-550 with a 60-1 or larger turbo. It was just a street car so thats what I chose for him. But yeah, if he wanted to make power til like 10,000 a larger turbo would have been nice.

do you think trying to get 17psi out of a t3/t4e .48 a/r turbine 60 trim is beyong the limits of the turbo? I have an h23a and I'm worried my turbine is too small.

Mike, very impressive work
This is the post that I've been waiting to see, as I am in an almost similar situation. That is, wanting high power (400+whp) and still retain streetability. Looks like you helped me a little in my decision as to if I should keep my T3/T04E 57 trim or would if it would be wiser to trade it for a T3/60-1. I think I'm leaning on keepin' it

Re: Dyno Chart on Laskey Racing T3/T4 turbo motor (DSF)
So true Im all about tq, My car doesn't FEEL fast its going fast and I know its going fast but it doesn't feel that way because of the lack in torque. And thats the bottom line intill you get your car around mid 200s in torque the car isn't gonna feel nearly as fast as it is.

just plain sick. that is definitly amazing. a lot of to you for making such high power on such a little turbo. This really does go to show that cams CAN make a difference...now imagine these cams and a big 62-1

A street car tuned for C-16 race fuel! I personally wouldn't consider a car a street car if you can't get gas to run it with at your typical fuel pump. Everything looks great though!

Re: Dyno Chart on Laskey Racing T3/T4 turbo motor (SiRkid)
We saved 2 setups in the guys laptop so he could run around town on a lesser of octane. Its not a real big deal from switching from c-16 down...maps pretty much stay the same with just less boost in it. I just wanted to let everyone see the capabilitys on a t3/t4...I mean, we could have even went with a bigger one. But I will say, if he gets a bigger turbo, there will be a tons more power in the motor. But quick spool up was an issue and since its street driven, thats why we went this way.
