Default DYNO: B16A and T-too big turbo :)

B16A - stock bore/stroke/sleeves
compression - 180psi across
gas - Costco 92oct
snail - Turbonetics 60-1 T4 'P-Trim' (thats all i know about it)
tuning - Dave Lee playing with CROME PRO
boost - 18psi...
cams - NA cams 255/248 duration 12mm lift
dyno - DynoJet (not sure on the model forgot to ask) pulls in 4th gear
dont really feel like posting anymore than that...but i will answer questions if you have them... maybe Dave will chime in to answer any tuning tech questions...

we stopped cuz Dave said to. he felt we had reached the limits of the timing, and didnt feel we should rev it any higher, he was concerned with piston speeds... personally i would have reved it till it tapered off. but... i listen to my tuner he also says there is more in the injectors, and we need to go back with race gas...so...we might just do that
*EDIT* nevermind, Dave was right...i made him raise the revlimiter at the track and didnt see a real improvement. so i think that is where power peaks... he said something about my gears keeping me in the power anyway and not feeling the need to work my tranny like that... it made noise into 3rd and 4th at 9 and 9.5...ehh...

money shot:

the hooptie:

big thanks go out to: Homemadeturbo.com, Jeff Frank, Dave Lee, Beau G., Honda-Tech, and everyone that hooked it up with "jew deals" (like Mike @ LSD Motorsports) on all **** it took to build this car and to those that didnt, **** you for making me pay retail...

and inspiration for the build: 714phil/DSport Project EG, and this ImportBuilders article...not to mention my other overpowered torque monsters/starting 2nd gear burnout cars...

nice was this on stock compression or did you have different pistons and rods? 180psi sounds like 9:1

they are forged... and suppose to be ~9.1, but the compression numbers say otherwise...

oh... IT WAS A 100% GENUINE OEM HONDA BELT... i have the receipt and probably the package... i work at Lynnwood Honda on the retail parts counter, bought it there

still yet to be determined as the cause of the T-belt shredding, must have been the timing covers...also brand new...

yeah so i have been thinking, and thinking... when i pulled the lower timing cover off that long wierd *** bolt that goes threw the lower cover wasnt there, and i think the shorter one on the other side from it was loose. right at the end of street tuning we heard what sounded like maybe a bolt falling out/being ran over. we had been street tuning for several hours and i drove an hour just to get to my tuners place without the UPPER cover on. soo... maybe that bolt came out and the rear lower portion was catching the timing belt... best that i have come up with atm...

btw dont think i mentioned it here, but on my 4th pull it sputter/revlimited at 8800rpms with a 9200 revlimit. pushed the clutch in, it idled down then stalled... we didnt notice the timing belt till we tried to crank it over for the next pull and it didnt want to start "kinda sounds like a broken timing belt huh?" must have just jumped some teeth...

I may have missed your explanation, but why did you use the T-too big turbo?? I had a car w/ a similar powerband (at a lower horsepower) and i hated it...the lag was too much for my tastes

thats a laggy bitch, switch to something in a t-3 form and you should also pick up a lot of tq. my 50 trim at the same boost level made around the same whp and 35 more tq

yeah you did... end of my first post there is a link... or just youtube search for Civic burnout videos... or the Dirty Second/Thirds

i built this car TO RUN ON STREET TIRES ON THE STREET. its not a race car, it has full interior, etc.

oh...you think i need a 2.0L w/GT28RS that will SMOKE the tires from an idle?

i stand by my statement... i dont need it to be fast when im stuck in some shitty *** Everett/Seattle traffic, or going from stop light to stop light in a 35mph zone...

so far my car is doing what it was built to do... we will see how it does at the track and on the streets in the next couple of weeks...

yeaaahhhh... first impression on the STREET @ 32psi...hook WAY better than the other tires i had on there. i got off the revlimiter hard in second once it hit like 7500ish i think (hard to watch and drive) with the BFGs i can actually feel it loosing grip, so i will be able to feather it easier...

i thought it would have made more power at 18psi, nice build, i bet once that turbo gets in its range that car takes off like a rocket. Nice torque curve

thanks man. yeah it would...will...make more but Dave wouldnt take off the skirt and let me rev it higher... i think we will put some race gas in it later and rev it till ~10k, and see how much the dyno likes me... motor is built for it, no real reason i shouldnt be able to rev it that high... would widen my powerband too.

VicX + allmotor cams + 60-1 = Dustin ~>

i wasnt trying to hate, but that is not a good street car. it may be a track monster, but your powerband is definitely not for a street car. nice numbers none the less.
