Default Dump Tube on Tial WG with GS-R/Rev Hard Mani...

How do people setup of their wastegate on their 94+ GS-R's with the Rev Hard manifold? I have my wastegate sitting sideways by using the pipe bend.

But, it's dumping the exhaust right on the manifold. This is: increasing temps, stinking up my cabin, and most importantly, the compressor is sucking in these exhaust gases...

So, can anyone post some pics of their setup or give some suggestions.

Also, I have A/C and PS.

Thanks

I'm guessing the wastegate won't fit under the hood with it mounted directly on the manifold?
I'd make a new 90deg elbow and rotate the flange so it dumps forward myself.

Yea, when I mounted the wastegate vertical it hits my hood so I'm forced to do this.

That actually was one of my ideas. Cutting the pipe bend and re-welding it slightly angeled more outward near the fans. And I'm eliminating the fans for pushers, so this will give me more room.

But, please, I would like more suggestions.

Thanks

what if you angle it so it dumps over by the p/s and then you can make the dump tube go straight down some what.

That is a possibily, but the a/c line is sort of in the way..

I think the wastegate would actually dump directly on the line.

Any other turboed GS-R's with this setup?

Do it like I did. You don't want that wastegate dumping like it is now...just cut away a bit of the webbing on the underside of the hood, no big deal..

you could also just run the turbosmart Ultragate, it has no clearance issues what so ever. And it is a better gate anyway

Hey, I saw your post on dumptube setup with revhard manifold. I'm having exactly the same problem. I have a drag dumptube, but it will hit the A/C fan with the revhard manifold. How do you do yours?

if you guys need dumptubes/ wastegate elbow setups hit me up. i can make them for both setups. doing this setup its recommended you run a slim fan in the front of the radiator/condensor or remove the ac fan to provide enoguh room

PM me for pricing. itll clear your ac as well as pS and your hood.
