dump tube question and a few more
currently i have no dump tube on my waste gate. I wanted to know how important it is to have a dump tube and if I can get away with not having one. I would also like to know where I can find articles about tuning your car to high psi and change the timing so it last longer.
thanks,
thanks,

A dumptube is is good to have to keep your engine bay free from hot sooty exhaust gases and excessive heat from the wastegate. In addition, routing your dumptube back into the downpipe or exhaust reduces backpressure and the probabtlity of boost spiking.
As far as tuning, do a search, Im pretty positive you can find some very insightful info. Or PM mtber from phearable.net.

Re: dump tube question and a few more (DaveF)
i view a dumptube as a necessity, even if it routes back into the downpipe. ive seen cars pick up 20-30+ hp from adding a dumptube. those gasses are bad news to get back into the intake manifold for making power.
my dumptube cost literally 20 dollars to make. an 8 dollar flange and a 12 dollar piece of pinch bent 1.5" mild steel
