Default Dumb question about valve cover lines to intake

Ok, so most of you guys seem to run the valve cover breather to a catch can, to the compressor side of the intake, or a filter.

But what do you do with the other two lines that normally merge into that metal piping before routing to the air intake? I read that one is a vacuum line (not sure why that's necessary) and the other is from the cooling system (pre-heat?). Can I just plug them up? What did you do with them? (This is on a stock b16a2, btw)

Thanks

I just put an oil seperator on the vacuum line (the one with the PCV valve attached), and the other hose to the filter.

The vacuum is important for emmissions purposes and to maintain the oil. I didn't want to go without it.

I don't think this is the PCV line. Doesn't that come up between the 2nd and 3rd intake runners?

I'm talking about the line that merges into that metal pipe midway between the valve cover vent and the intake charge pipe.

Thanks, Chef. So do you just plug the coolant hose/fitting?

no, its just replace with a little longer hose so it can reach the bottom of the thorrtle body i believe thats where 1 end connects and the other near the back of the valve cover on the left
