DUHR Q: Shaft Play on Drag t3/to4e and how to ID?
Ok I am in idiot when it comes to really technical turbo stuff... I have a DRAG t3/to4(e?b?) and it has some slight side to side shaft play, like a hair, no in/out play. Is this normal? Im not sure if its BB or not (i think not) i heard a lil shaft play in nonBB turbos is normal? there is no in/out play at all.
Also I am trying to ID this turbo/get the specs. All I can see is some type of large number printed on the t3 flange, looks like a serial or something. There is a .63 in the exhuast housing and a "V" on the compressor housing.
Can anyone help me ID the turbo? Also do you think the shaft play is ok?
Also i dropped a valve and there was a bit of metal pellets in the turbo, the fins on both sides look pristine but im wondering if there is any damage to the internal fins? Is there a way to take the housings off to inspect the fins without rebuilding the whole damn turbo?
thanks, sorry for the ultra-newb questions
