Default Ductile Iron Sleeves for $40 each??

http://www.jgenginedynamics.com/specials

Ductile iron sleeves for D series blocks only. Can accommodate pistons from 75-79mm $40.00 each

So.. someone enlighten me.. why pay $800 to get a sleeved block when you can pay $160+labor?

Usually takes a few hours if not more to do internal engine work. Shops charge usually by the hour. $65 - $85 an hour or something like that, after a few hours it starts getting expensive... Unless they have set rates for doing stuff. $300 labor for x work, $550 labor for y work etc...

Those sleeves dont have a seat which holds them up in the block like darton or GE. I saw a block with those sleeves at a shop and the deck was not true. It was a complete waste of money.

Long deal on a sleeve install would be $450. Seat for the sleeves is machined into the motor, not on the sleeve.

Please clarify how the seat is machined into the motor. You dont need to explain how the Darton sits on the sleeve because i have one already, but on the JE I could see the bottom of the sleeve from under the motor. Please explain then what this sleeve is it sitting on?

Edit: i meant JG not JE
