DSS Stg 5 owners, anyone have C-clip issues?

I've had a few other people locally have the c-clip compress and allow the axle to pop out of the tranny, wondering if anyone else has had this problem? I decided to take the car out for a spin last night, casually cruising around town at 75mph and all of the sudden the car just free revs, like the slave cylinder gave out or something. come to find out, the axle was popped out.

Today, I expected to see a c-clip compressed and that's it. needless to say, I was a bit surprised to see how ate up the axle was. More surprised the Quaife looks so good as well.

This tranny went in the car on Tuesday, with thew new Quaife installed, with everything mic'd to OEM spec. before I put in the axle, I swapped in a new C-Clip and then pulled on teh bastard to ensure it wouldnt' pop out. Friday Night, I went to teh track and did around 6 passes without any large issues. Drove the car home friday night. Saturday afternoon, this happens.

If anyone has any insite, I'm open

spines are done, axle is perfectly fine. i'll ship it off to DSS once i call them tomorrow to get a RNA. it will only go half way into the tranny, before the spines get too fucked up to fit. sucks it couldnt' have happened at the track, when I was on it with the spray on, rather than going 75mph down teh interstate at 3800rpms

so is it under warranty?

Re: (wade)

per DSS website, the stg 5's have a 12 month warranty, so this should be covered.

i guess i'm the only person to have c-clip issues?

I'm mailing the axle off for warrenty repairs, but i'm more worried about wtf happened to allow the axle to come out
