dsm turbo on b-series
I've run one on a buddy's car but it was a sohc, how would i go about getting one to work with a b-series? Most b-series manifold's are t3/t4, I'm guessing i'd need an adapter fab'ed? I'm only looking to make 300whp on a b18b1. Would that be too much hp for that turbo?

Re: dsm turbo on b-series
I have a 14b on my b16. I bought a cast manifold with a t25 flange then got a adapter machined to go from the t25 flange to the dsm flange. A word of warning though, the bolts that attach the turbo to the flange thread into the exhaust housing on dsm turbos so if you don't get a manifold that through bolts from the top you will not be able to use it unless you drill the exhaust housing out so you can bolt the turbo up from the bottom. I can post pics of my set up while its off the car if it would help.

Re: dsm turbo on b-series
There are many dsm turbos, the most popular being the 14b and the T25 which neither of them will be able to hit 300whp. Check compressor maps and do some calculating. I would suggest looking at a 16g which is an old evo turbo but it they are fairly cheap and it would reach your goal!

Re: dsm turbo on b-series
i would suggest an evo 8 or 9 twin scroll turbo with a custum twin scroll manifold
check this out
Car: Honda CRX
Engine: Bone stock JDM GSR, Skunk2 intake manifold
Mods: Custom divided EL manifold, Evo 9 turbo, stock o2 housing, 3" dp, 3" exhaust, no cat, Evo 9 intercooler, Evo9 intercooler piping(modified to fit)/bov, Evo 9 injectors, Walbro 255lph HP pump, GM 3bar map sensor, Neptune
Tuning on 93 octane at 12psi:
*This was very impressive for all Evo 9 parts from the customers Evo 9 that he did a turbo kit upgrade. Instant spool, great powerband and great drivability. The pulls were all done on the base wastegate actuator level (12psi).
this is one of the best powerbands i've ever seen for a daily driver

Re: dsm turbo on b-series
You can make 300whp on a b-series vtec motor with a 14b. I made this with a bone stock b16a. Really stretching the limits of the 14b though. I would reccomend a t3 super 60 over a 14b, t25, or 16g. Figure you will want more power down the road, so why not get a manifold that can support a t3 frame later on.
