My friend put a stock turbo on his 1g DSM today, and the stock 1g DSM BOV sounds AWESOME on his car. It sounds almost exactly like the HKS SS, but a little deeper. He blew off a few times @ like 5psi, and it was still like 2x as loud as mine, and his isn't leaking (unlike mine )

Do any of you guys use them, and how well do they work for you? Do you like the sound of them, and any leaking yet? I can get one for like $30 w/ flange from the local j/yard, and am thinking about ditching my old HKS for it...

I had one in my 2g eclipse...and i was boosting 18psi worked great.

I have one on my current setup. Sounds cool. Holds boost (I think) at my measly 11 psi. At high rpm's it kinda sounds like a WRC car when letting off of boost slightly--has the high pitched quick squeek.

Do you guys blow off in neutral at all? I can feel air rushing out of my old school HKS right now, but it doesn't make any noise when in neutral. Will this one do anything, or am I just not pushing enough air (2 1/4" piping w/ a TD04H turbo on my ZC).

you sorta can..but you normally have to rev the hell outa the motor to make it do that because the turbos honda boys normally use are pretty big.

In my eclipse with the t25 (ie t-two-small) i could bov anywhere anytime...just touch the gas and it would pppsssffffttttt. haha

Yeah, that's what I am getting now. When driving though, this thing is super quiet too..just another rush of air.

My friend got his on, and he blows off every time he even touches the gas. It's kind of funny, he just goes up to like 2500 and shift slow and it blows off. He hooked it back up to the bypass now though, and you can't hear it.

Ya thats the one I am using,, its the perfect noice... you cannot hear it in neutral cuz your not creating boost but when your at 0-3 you can hear it and 4-10 its nice and lound!!
