dsm blow off valve
I have a dsm blow off valve and no flange to bolt it onto the charge pipe
does anyone have pics of how they did this? I have a stick welder and its hard as hell.
should i just weld it onto the pipe? aluminum to steel??
or jb weld?? pics would be nice thanks

JB weld will probably do fine. I have the same setup going with my charge pipes, but I have a ghetto flange that i've used since i'm using a plastic stealth BOV. I used JB on the flange and put the BOV on it and it works fine.

go to roadraceengineering.com you can get the flange and pipe from there to weld on to the charge pipe. Just ask for the pipe they have it lying around and they'll just give it to you for free. it's kinda tricky to find but if your familiar with the norwalk area it's near the court house. give em a call

yea you can get the flange from RRE. you can prob get the stubby piece of pipe too from them.
this is what i did, i bought the 1g dsm bov and the elbow pipe with the flange from a guy used. the guy i go to is really good at welding so he used his welding thing to melt off the stock flange from the pipe and then welded it to my charge pipe.
good luck with yours. i think it sounds great and clean and its wayy cheaper than aftermarket

Re: dsm blow off valve (Pengo)
thanks for all the info
i tried jb weld for the first time and boy what a bad idea...
shoulda tested it on something else; anyways i almost jb welded the bov plunger to the housing, i left it to dry for a while and that freakin thing was slowly dripping into the housing... oh well ill try making a steel flange and weld them on.....
