Drag manifold with hairline cracks. *weld or not?
I just got a 92 cx with a d16z6 and a ghetto as hell turbo set up.
I am trying to make it some what respectable, and I picked up a DRAG manifold for 50 bux but it has two hairline cracks. I called around and most the welding shops either said they wouldn't even try or that they would garentee it.
Just FYI right now it has a cx manifold with a flange bolted up to it and a t3 turbo.

You can weld the cracks up just fine. All they will do is, heat the cracked area up first, And use a high nickel rod.
I have actually welded, cast manifolds together, works great....half LS manifold+half dsm turbo manifold, works great.

I "think" drag has a lifetime warranty against cracking,so if you could find a dealer that can take care of it maybe youll get a new one but you might have to be the original purchaser or something like that.I would check that out 1st before you try to weld it,maybe with one of the importparts guys like Ben.

But you still gotta try,you got nothing to lose and might possibly get a new manifold out of the deal.

DRAG doesn't offer any type of warranty on their kits. The lifetime warranty offered on the manifold through our company.
