Drag III Install pics + Questions [BandWidth]
This pass weekend myself and snake01 installed a drag kit on a buddies 99 Si. Just thought I'd share some pics
BEFORE:
A variety of "special" tools were used on the job. This included a BFH, some lotion, and of course, the SAWZALL
Turbo secks:
Giant screaching bug (Kayteedid sp?) that attacked us and I caught with a retractable claw:
Some random drunk dude who passed out nearby:
FINISHED!
Now you get to answer some questions.
1) How the hell is the air filter supposed to fit in here? As you can see the only way we could do it was to relocated the coolant res. We ended up putting it in the corner in the stock airbox hole.
Even still, the BOV rubs against the filter
2) Has anyone had to shorten some of the IC pipes to keep them from hanging too low?
3) The oil return bung on the pan is NOT welded above the normal oil level. It's near the top but still when removed a good quart and a half drained out. Is this going to cause problem?
Thanks

did you put the charge pipe on the wrong way? i thought the bov was supposed to sit higher and closer toward the intake manifold.
as for the air filter, you should be able to connect the pipes in a way where the filter goes over the radiator hose.

Well I'm told there are differences between the Integra and Civic drag kits. That was the only way the charge pipe would fit, and the airfilter as well

He paid the extra money for the MSD 6A in the unpainted box that says SCI, he might as well buy some .05 cent sheet metal screws so it don't rattle around and crap out on him!!!

Dont forget to put the clamp back on the coolant line
Did you have to shave the block at all to get it in? Ive installed a few rev hard kits on Si's and the fitment was CRAP, wondering how drags is.

Fit shitty as well. I'm pretty sure the charge pipe fit in only that way but I'll screw around with it again. Either way, there doesn't appear to be a way to fit in the air filter without moving the coolant res with the pipes provided.
