Default Dpfi to Mpfi - obd1 B16A won't stay running please help!!

i have an ef dx hatchback that i converted to mpfi from dpfi. i also used a rywire jumper and distributor conversion to make the car OBD1. i am running obd1 injectors on a b16a and bypassed the resistor box hooking the ylw/blk wire from each injector all together and hooking them up to the ylw/blk wire from the original dx plug as the dpfi to mpfi conversion directions say. the car starts but dies quickly and you can not give it and gas or it dies instantly. the car is running super rich and seems to have fuel coming out of the header after it dies. (slow drip on floor.) i cut the distributor plug of an si harness and the wires matched color for color on the dx harness so i could use the rywire distributor jumper. can some please help if they know of anything to check. i check the plugs and they all seemed black but the number 4 cyl. (closet to the dist.) was soaking with fuel like it wasn't burning off but further testing proved it to have spark. as soon as i can get this thing running i am turboing it but i have to get it to run first. help me get boosting. thanks!

i rechecked all my wiring and everything seems to be good just as it told me how in the write up. although in the b12 slot that was supposed to be open there was a white wire with a red stripe. i just cut is and tapped into it. also after atarting it and letting it idle for a couple seconds i shut it off checked the plugs and the number 2 and 4 spark plugs were soaking with gas but 1 and 3 were dry just really black. as far as the check engine codes it was only saying 10 which is IAC but that shouldn't make it run the way it is. someone please help me i am stummped.

Is each injector wired independently from the OBD0 ecu plug to the respective injector? You should have had to remove pins from the obd0 chassis harness and taped them off (do not connect them together!)

B10 and B12 should be directly hard-wired in to whatever rywire provides.. Do not 'Tap Into' B10 or B12! It's not uncommon to find an original wire at B12.. I just cut it, tape it off, forget about it, and wire in my new wire.

Also, are your 110% sure that your firing order is correct?

Do you count the cylinders from right to left? if thats correct, injector #1 goes all the way to the right if you looking at your motor from the front? and yes i have ran the wires from a3 and a7 to injectors #2 and #4. b10 and b12 are ran to the dizzy. i cut the white and red wire and just left it taped off and used the b12 slot to run to the dizzy and, i connected the two yellow and black wires from the stock dx plugs (that are unused) and ran them together along with the yellow and black wires from each injector. (elliminating the resistor box so i run can obd1 injectors.) i have 4 wires running into the two that would have gone to the resistor box.

left to right. drivers side to pass side. (which is what I think you are describing)

"Right" and "Left" are always from the drivers perspective.
