I have problems with the bolts from turbo housing to downpipe. I have 3 new bolts, cause I have lost the old ones. Now the news are coming off again. I have used a split ring and a Loctite paste.

I guess from the big heat the split rings will glow out and the Loctate is useless.

here's what me and sayang did to her car....courtesy of Arturbo's brain

get a 8x1.25mm auto studs, get the 40mm length, or just make sure the one end of it is gonna go all the way or less than then turbine housing

then get a 8mm nuts and some lock washers..

works like a charmm

I used to lose a few DP bolts every other month, this works best..no need for loctite..

Exact what my tuner said...using studs. But I wanted to hear an easier opinion, cause it is a pain in the butt to change the bolts to studs.

buy some safetywire bolts.... the kind you feed wire thoruhg and wire them together, they wont back out on you and if they do.. it wont be very much.. it's used in aircraft and believe me they put out more heat than our manifolds.
