my friends turbo civic with straight through 3" turboback with no muffler is nasty sounding..whenever he taps the throttle or cruising around and lets off the gas you can hear the whining through the exhaust really loud

yeah the spooling sound comes from the compressor spooling, you'll hear it through the filter. Remove the filter and it' seven louder

yeah i got an old AEM Filter from my CAI and i can hear it suck in like i still had the CAI in LOL...My HKS seemed alot louder with out the filter
