does my piping route look right? seems kind of low to me.
just got my car back from the guy who was doing my install. i bought jc whitney diy piping and this is what he could do with it. is that how the routing is supposed to look? pipes seem really low to the ground and looks like itll pop off with one scrape on a bump. would it have been better or looked better if i had say spoolinperformance piping kit? thanks

Yeah, the guy who did that didn't know what he was doing.
Not sure where you would need to route it, but probably by cutting holes in the sheet metal below the headlights you could get it through. The pipes should go out from teh FMIC, then curve up past the fog light area and into the engine bay. Not below the car where they will be ripped off.

I would bite the bullet and cut a hole in the frame rail. With a good hole saw it won't be hard.

LoL.
I did my own turbo install and cut/fabricated my own charge pipes with ZERO experience behind me. They came out WAY better than that.
I even routed the driver's side pipe under the washer resevoir like yours but was able to route them tight enough so they were tucked up under there and didn't hang down at all.
And this is with zero experience. I would expect a shop to do much better work than I did.
Luckily, it probably won't be that hard to fix at all, looks like you just need to do some cutting.
P.S. I would flip your FMIC around so you don't have that mark on the front. I had the same FMIC, the other side looks cleaner IMO.

Have you tried putting the bumper cover on? The intercooler is up way too high and will probably only cover half of the opening. Plus yeah, the piping is hanging way too low, but im sure you're already aware of that

you need to take off the windshield wiper fluid resivor and i think there is plastic behind that. cut a hole through it with a dremel and stick you pipe through there. thats what i did and it works great.

If that's the 6gen accord then it's the same as mine. My piping is very close to what you have, but my intercooler is below my bumper. I bet once you put your cover on the pipes won't be low at all.

dude that looks horrible, i would ditch it asap.
a DA is like a CRX with the crossmember and all that crap, you either have to lose the winshield sprayer bottle and go from up there down to the intercooler, or you have to hole saw thru the frame side, either way you are gonna need to move or lose the washer bottle.
also if you havent already relocated the battery i suggest you do so, it makes the cold side so much easier and a straight transition to the throttle body.
in other words, let phil at spoolin handle the issue, im sure he can fix you up well

Re: (mrbsponge)
yea, he didnt need to cut the crossmember for a jrc 5" intercooler at all. you wont even be able to see the intercooler when you put your bumper on.... not to mention the pipiing isnt gonna sruvie like that for long, go back and get your money back and give him a swift kick in the nuts for irreversably ******* up your bumper support

easiest way is to ditch the windshild fluid tank if u dont use it. Ic that ur from cali, I can't picture u needing it that much. Im from MN and driving without windshield fluid is Hell haha.
