does it matter where you put the oil restrictor?????
i just purchased this oil restictor
well i think its gonna be a pain in the *** to get in the turbo just because of how the manifold gets in the way. is it possible to put the restrictor right where the oil pressure source is? does it even make a difference???
kinda like this

You need to check the pressure at the turbo to make sure you have no more than 55 psi and no less than 35psi at wide open. For the best spool and life of the unit you need to try and get to 40 psi and no it does not matter where you put the restrictor it just has to be before the turbo in the feed line.
The fitting you have a picture of is one that goes in the inlet of the turbo.

If your turbo and your block fitting share the same 1/8 thread size, you can put it in either spot. If the restrictor fitting has a thread size other than 1/8, it has to go in the turbo.

Wow, 17$ for that?
17.95 for this, with gasket and bolts.

fyi.....ball bearing turbo's have the restrictor built in, they also need a different amount of oil than a standard journal/race bearing.

Re: (JST1CAM)
Don't forget that you can pick up a restrictor in with any size hole you want from Mc Mastercarr for less than $5.
I bought all my oil lines including block bspt fitting, a firewall T, and a restrictor fitting all for less than $50 shipped.
Sorry if it's OT, but it just kills be seeing people spend so much money on their oil lines and fittings when you can get them for so cheap.
P.S. in that picture it doesn't look like it's got the same threads on both sides of the fitting.
