I personally would get one, just to be on the safe side. Every factory turbo car that I know of has one there, so there is no exhaust leak. Better to be safe than sorry. Later!

be careful with that stuff because it usually won't hold up for very long.I tried using that stuff when i sealed off the external wastegate flange and it started to leak after a while. The stuff i used was ultra copper high temp gasket maker that is good for up to 700 degree's i think.

Heck as cheap as they are why not. Only cost about 4 bucks from autozone or o'rilleys. 89 thunderbird. So yeah.. I got one!

Damn where did you find that stuff? i looked for months and the highest temp i could find was 750 degrees and that wasn't rated for a constant 750 degrees like the manifold would exceed for extended periods. So i had to settle for the 600 degree or so.What is the brand name so maybe i can pick some up (or order it).

I have one..

Unless the manifold and turbo housings are freshly planed you prolly will get a small leak without one.

They make the gaskets for a reason.....
