Does anyone have a sound clip of detenation I can't spell.....
I've read what it says on how it sounds but I can't tell if thats what it is or if it is just rocks under my car since I live on a loose gravel road. I know I sound like a damn noob with this one but... I need some help

damn sounds like thats what I heard. Luckily I didn't mess anything up. Any suggestions on fixing this for the moment, until I can get it tuned. what kind of plugs are you running and what are they gapped at.

sounds like a small chain slapping against the exhaust, try boosting the octane on your fuel, retarding the timing alittle untill you get it tuned, on a boosted motor i would go 9 series plugs.

Yeah, I mean the whole road isn't gravel, but of course you will have loose gravel in certain places.

i have that same problem when im in low rpms in a higher gear and i try to accelerate y putting the gas to the floor.

Yeah I believe mine is also at low rpm in high gear. But I check my plugs and I see no white spots and what not on them so could that still be detonation or how ever u spell it

I use the 7 seris right now, I have them gapped at .30 should I lower the gap to .28

no i meant a 9 series, it is a colder plug and will be a more comfortable to take the car to the tuner, after that 7 series is fine if your boosting under 12.
