Default Does Anybody here AutoX is there turbo charged honda?

I was thinking of turboing my ride and seeing if this is possible with little or no problems on a stock block and pushing the car for such a long period of time in a autoX event.

I would like to know also I am thinking about trying autocrossing this weekend in my hatch at honda day. But I do now know what the car will do once boost hits. I think you pretty much run around in second and third gear. In those gears when my turbo spools the tires break loose. I can just see myself going into a corner and hitting boost and taking out all the cones.

I'm gonna try it out on May 23rd. I'm gonna have my mbc set to low boost (6-7psi) and see what happens. This is the schedule for NASA northeast region...

you shouldn't have much problems, at least I haven't.

I don't knw how much hp you are putting, but I have around 200whp mustang dyno, and I've autoX in it with the turbo stock block b16. I haven't had any problems. You aren't really running it that long, autoX courses only last for abotu 40-80 seconds, and you aren't hitting full boost if any boost during that whole period. Boost comes in burst while autoXing, you aren't pedal to the metal for the whole time. After all, there are quite a number of turns you need to negotiate through. MOst of the time, you are trying to concetrate on taking the corner correctly, and setting up for the next corner. Straightaways aren't very long, and don't last that long either. The fastest I hit in a AutoX was about 70mph or so, and that was for less than a second before I had to start mashing on the brake and get ready for the corner.

You honestly shouldn't have any problems autoXing yoru car in a turbo stock block.

If your tires are breaking loose, then use your head, and don't MASH it so hard when coming out of a corner, or wherever. Ease the throttle. Think about it, whne you drag, you don't just SLAM on the gas and spin your tires forever to get that fast time, you play with the clutch, you adjust your throttle for optimum acceleration AND grip. In AutoX, you do the same thing when you have a high powerd fwd. If you feel the tires breaking loose, don't get so hard on it out of the corner. Apply just enough gas to get teh car accelerating well and keep adding as much as you can without breaking the tires loose.

........LSD helps a lot If you don't have one in autoX and you're driving a high pwrd fwd, you going to see a lot of smoking inside tires while cornering.
