does the *safe* rev limit change w/ a SC?
i have a b16 and am seriously considering getting a JRSC for it. i would plan on running the normal pulley with it (6 psi?). i'd run it with 92-93 octane fuel. i'm used to redlining it with my NA setup often, but would this change after i SC it? this is my daily driver so i dont wanna break it my guess would be you wouldnt want to go as close to the redline but since i'm new to FI i wanted to ask. yeah a search pulled up a lot of rev stuff, but not anything i saw on SC. i hope this question isnt too obvious to ask.
thanks,
kevin

thats interesting. i always pictured the higher you rev with FI the closer you come to blowing a headgasket or something. maybe this isnt possible with 6psi?
thanks

High RPM's don't blow headgaskets, they break piston wrist pins. Boost actually lowers the stress on pistons and rod when they reach TDC and start to go back down.
I've been redlining mine for over 3 years. Even an occasional bump onto the rev limiter is not instant death. Just get off the gas quickly.
