Do you think this price for a TUNE is good or what
about 1500 plus is basically the minimum and up to 2k for pump and race gas tune.... Its for the VW 1.8T he can tune other cars too.... Couple advantages are i keep all stock wiring, coilpacks, ecu so its simple.. dis-advantanges are he is the only one who offers custom tuning for our cars, all the other people either offer a chip which is gay most of the time, or convert to Drive by cable and get standalone but that will be 2k plus tuning..... he recently made 500plus on stock ecu.... So what do you guys think of the price

if hes moding and reprogaming the stock ecu and you dont have to buy any hardware then thats not a bad price.. figure a hondata kpro or aem ems is goan run you 1200-1500bux, then 600 on top of that to tune it... 2000 is about right.

he tunes the stock ecu, the stock ECU on our cars stock has 4500 maps... He has figured a way to tune it and offer it to the public at his price.... I would rather pay 1k max..... If i go standalone it would be 2k plus tuning

Good lord! 4500 maps, damn.
If I was you, I'd make sure that everything is done to the car already and only drive it in 60 degree weather for that price.

At least with a standalone you could retune the car though without having to pay $2k again.

geez. VW's and tuning
i had a friend pay i believe about $900 for a chip to be sent to him.
it was a "dyno tuned" chip for a car with the exact setup as his.

yes that is most likely unitronic, some have success with that chip..... I know my car would have to be 100% be done then he can tune away to 40psi
