Default Do these valve cover vents pose a problem?

Well.. I didnt have the manifold when I had the fittings drilled for the VC.

Are these too close to the manifold?

I didnt want to wrap the manifold with heat wrap, but it looks like I might not have a choice - maybe get some fire sleeve and slide it over the whole fitting?

thanks

It's not - there is roughly 1cm clearance with the tube part of the fitting, and about 3/4cm for the hex part of the fitting

im not sure how much heat those fittings can take.. putting the sleeve over it like you said should work though

sounds good - They are -12 fittings so I will probably get -16 sleeve to ensure it fits over the hex piece.. or maybe search mcmaster for some ideas

I have my -10 vents on the rear of my vc (under the baffle, so no gravity slosh)... turned out great.

i wouldnt worry about it youll be fine... </TD></TR></TABLE>

Thanks! The cover was actually powdercoated by a member on here - I got my brake calipers, slave cylinder, and now my valve cover done through him I tried some wrinkle paint but couldnt achieve the flat finish so I figured I would powdercoat it!
