A lot of guys of turbo guys have them including myself, I really like it. The only drawback is it becomes harder to launch if you go too light.

I love mine and most turbo folks with one will say the same. Turbos are all about spooling as fast as you can and a lightened flywheel allows the engine to rev up faster with means quicker spool times. The only downside is starting from a stop, the rpms can increase or decrease fast so starting takes some practice to get it right.

what motor setup and lighten flywheels do you guys run or suggest for a turbo h22a. And the best clutch under boost that works well and last awhile?

Well, i had an opportunity to buy and install a Toda flywheel while I was putting in my clutch and was told that the revs climb a lot quicker but they fall just as fast. My problem with that would be if I had it at 4500rpm and shifted, I would be out of boost for a couple of seconds.

Bad for me, enertia good!!

All I had done a resurfaced flywheel.

I am going to Turbo the EX and put the HX head on it........long run.

In the meantime it would be a HX with custom cam and EX ECU. Once Greddy makes the 6th gen Turbo smog legal in Cali.........turbo'ed EX and then eventually the HX head w/cam on the EX, and the EX head on the HX

i have a CM 7.5lb. its cake to rev-match and power shift now. clutchless up and downshifts only take a few days of practice. i love my flywheel, and havnt found any drawbacks yet. i still use the clutch when im running hard, but shifts are so fast you dont really loose much rpm.

Nice owning two Civics.....

Side Note: I just bought a EX ECU and will see how much the Stock D16Y5 likes it.

Hmmm....you are going to throw an O2 sensor code, a fuel pressure sensor code, and VTEC is going to engage too late.

I don't think it is going to like it.

Stick with stock flywheel and you will be happy.

I didn't even think about different fuel pressures between the EX and HX.......
But, how the heck would I throw an O2 sensor code?
