Default DO i need VORTech FMU...if i have VAFC???

I bought the drag kit and the kit came with vortech 12:1 FMU...I have a vafc 2 and i was wondering if i can use the vafc2 instead of the vortech fmu...or do i install both!

Oh yeah if i have to use one of them...which one is better?

The afc is better. You will need some injectors probably dsm 450cc's to run it. Either way neither of them is that good.

nope, it's me too.

an FMU is not the smoothest thing but if run with an inline high pressure fuel pump you're in decent shape.

the AFC throws your ignition timing all off.

I personally ran an FMU for almost 1 year at ~7 psi and never had one problem. I switched to the hack and a few months later had broken ringlands.

Now I've smartened up, sold both, and am running the AEM EMS.

Not all of us have $1000+ to spend on a standalone.

You don't need to spend $1000...uberdata is free and crome is avaliable at low cost too.

yes but if you're only running an FMU there's not very much tuning you can do.

ok , but for example, the FMU 12:1 , it works that per 1 PSI of boost , the FMU raises 12 PSI for fuel pressure , right? so , what tuning does it need?

fuel isnt everything with tuning my friend. I never understood why people spend so much money on a turbo kit and half *** it to keep the motor at safe parameters

take out the FMU, throw bigger injectors in there and get it tuned.

when are people going to realize that turbo is not a bolt on?
