do i need to upgrade fuel and ignition for turbo at low boost?
hey guys whatsup... I just wanted to know if i still had to upgrade my fuel with bigger injectors or a new fuel pump for a turbo and also do i need to upgrade for better spark with the turbo? I am only planning on boosting like 5-6 pounds just for that little extra ummph!! and the awesome BOV sound. Just wanted to know if i had to do all of these things or if an FMU will do the job for me.
B16a3 Turbonetics turbo kit.....
p.s. should i be worried about running this on stock internals....motor has about 85000 miles on it

im no expert but if you have it properly tuned the block and ignition will be fine. use different plugs. but i dont know about the fuel. i like to play it safe

Upgrade the fuel setup and keep the ignition setup stock....some 1step colder plugs wouldn't hurt though...

5-6 lbs on a stock motor is fine as long as u tune it. hell its probably fine on an untuned setup

yep. i ran 8lbs on my stock engine for about 2 months untuned and the engine held up fine. i wouldnt recommend doing it though. my boost even creeped up to 12 lbs at some points.
an fmu is good enough, but i would look into crome or uberdata. proper tuning is essential for reliabilty.
