Default Do i need to change my dp flange?

on my turbo, it is a garrett with a 5 bolt flange. on the exhaust housing there is the hole for the exhaust wheel, and then a smaller hole on the side. the flange i have for it blocks that smaller hole on the side off. is this alright or should it be changed?
thanks

That's the internal wastegate port. If you're running an external gate, it gets blocked.
