Do I have everything I need for my oil lines? *pic*
I bought this stuff a while ago and the guy I bought it from said "its all you need as far as oil lines/fittings go". I've been looking around I see alotta swivel fittings and stuff, do I really have everything I need?
They'll be used on a ZC engine and 14b turbo.
If its not all I need (im sure its not) can you try to identify what I have or what I need maybe?

yea, a ss braided line will definitely be a lil more pricey but worth it. i never trust those rubber lines tho i do admit there are people who have run them with no problem. still there are also those with horror stories

What kind of horror stories? I guess I could see how it could bust and I wouldnt know unless my eyes are glued to an oil pressure gauge (which I dont have) and my engine would run super lean and boom.
edit: Though, I really really doubt that strong *** hose would burst. I bet it'd be difficult to poke a hole through it with a knife.

I have seen it many times that rubber hoses will heat up and bend and pinch the line. This will cause oil to back up in the turbo and poof....goes your turbo seals.

damn theres so much stuff I havnt gone over for this turbo kit. I better not rush myself into it like i seem to be doing. Thanks for the tip on the rubber return line.. wheres a good place to get a ss and what size/fittings should I be using?
I really have no idea how this all works cuz I've never done any turbo-related work before, never even held one in my hands, and Im sittin here tellin myself I can built/install a whole kit properly. Will I need some kinda flange for the 14b turbo?

and just as a side note.....your oil flow doesn't have anything to do with lean/rich conditions. If your hose busted...your engine would just sieze up if you went too long with it like that due to no lubrication for rotating parts. Lean/rich refers to your air/fuel ratio....you can look that up for more info if you please.

btw. the only problems ive ever had with rubber return lines was the damn oil leaks..

the silver aluminum fitting is a BSPT to NPT adapter, the threads on the block is a metric BSP thread, if you thread in an NPT (standard) it may have a chance for the block to crack and leaks becasue of the different in threads.
this is the 2 pieces separately

seen quite a few lines get too close to the dp and melt a nice hole for all the returning oil to just "run" away. nothing that some well placed heat wrap and cleanly cut line can't solve, but i've seen it happen

If you want to use those barbed fittings you can get silicone hose instead of rubber. Its able to take more heat, and its not like it costs that much more. It wont get hard and brittle or crack on you.

man honestly, these lines have been the most confusing part of the whole setup so far. If I wouldnt have already bought what I have, I wouldnt worry about it, but I want to try and spend as little $$ on this as I can since I'll be flat broke for a couple more weeks.
So that rod extension is too long and might break, so I need that small silver BSPT to NPT adapter that flamenco showed in that pic, and I need to get a SS return line. Is there anything else?

hey I just got my 14b turbo this morning, and I see a flange on the bottom for what Im guessing is the oil return line but I dont see a flange on top. It came with two banjo bolts on top.. im guessing one is for water and one is the oil feed bolt.. which is which and how the hell does that ss line I have in the pic at the top connect to a banjo bolt?

I sell oil feed line kit for 14B, instead of banjo, I use a male to amle adapter fitting, one side screw to the turbo, the other side to the line.
If your feed line is -3AN, I can sell you just th fittings, you don;t need to buy the whole complete kit

i used the rubber hose on my zc t25 return line and the hose clamps started cutting into the line, so i had to replace it, but i dont think it will be that big of a deal. should work well. you know if the oil lines are the same for the t25 and the 14b. I mean do they go to the same place and return from the same place?
