Divided Flange Turbo and Twin Scroll
Can you run a non twin scroll manifold with a divided flange turbo
I have a garrett gt32 and don't want to have to run 2 wastegates.
Didn't know if its bad or what to not run a twin scroll

Re: Divided Flange Turbo and Twin Scroll
I have heard of people having boost creep problems and that is why they switch to the divided flange? I dunno im debating about going back to all motor and selling the gt32

Re: Divided Flange Turbo and Twin Scroll
I tried a Gt4094r on a single and a twin scroll manifold, not that gerat difference in power numbers, but about 1000 rpm in terms of spool at advantage of the twin scroll....

Re: Divided Flange Turbo and Twin Scroll
People just find it cheaper & easier to get another WG than to fully divided the WG elbow all the way to the WG valve. It has to literally hug the contour of the valve, fire ring, etc. They also have very large budgets at that point, and nobody really is interested in helping spool with sub-400hp motors.
When it does, you get no mixing between the manifold halves. When the WG opens, the gasses will not want to revert back into the other half of the divided WG tube. They will instead want to go where the pressure is much lower - beyond the WG valve & dump tube.
