Default Differing BOOST (spikes on dyno)*( steady on the street??)

I have just come back from the dyno and I was getting big boost spikes then having the power drop right off, I just did a few test runs on the street and it holds boost nicely well it may overboost by a pound but it only drops by half a pound or so after that . Say when going to 12psi it hits 12 psi for a couple of seconds then fluctuates between 11 and 12psi. Doesn't go over 12psi and no under 11psi. Car feels real good on the street but on the dyno it just spikes then drops the boost off. Any one have similar experience what to do, I don't really want to waste money on a EBC just to get good numbers on the dyno

I had a similar problem with my CRX at the track. On the street my Hallman MBC would hold 7-8psi fine. At the track it would spike to 8psi quick and then level off to about 4psi for the majority of the run after 1st gear. Ended up that I had to relocate the MBC's vacuum/boost signal from the compressor outlet to the intake manifold. That solved everything.
