differences in ecu's

what is the advantage of using hondata vs. neptune/ chrome. http://images.honda-tech.com/set1//smile/emcrook.gif also why does everyone dislike chrome?

Crome is free software so its not going to be the best thing in the world. I've used it for 2 years without issue, but as you will learn, the longer you're running an FI honda, the more you'll want a better EMS like Hondata or Neptune. Those systems allow the user to make changes in the settings without burning a chip.

If you're just going to take your car to a dyno, get it tuned, and drive it, Crome will work fine for you. If you want to play with your settings and fine tune them yourself, you'll need to get something like the Hondata S200.

This article gives a better overview of the pros and cons of each system: http://www.evans-tuning.com/te....html

or get your own burner, crome has had some bugs in the past, nothing wrong with all 3 but if you have the money i would go with hondata or neptune.

I think eCtune is gonna give Hondata a run for their money in the OBDI stuff, and honestly, when it hits the K-series, they should be worried.

thats like getting 2 steps ahead........they're not even out yet!!!!!!!

on a sidenote.

crome is getting better.............although not 100% free. ($100 crome pro) it is good for what you pay.

there are pleanty of alternatives to crome that are 100% free. but they are begging to die out, due to the people that created it going to school/losing interest or moving on to a diffrent make of car.........................................

PS: op Cui's ROM Editor ........no H
