Default did ignition timing cause me to blow? (check out my timing maps)

setup described in the sig, it lifted the head and caused the threads for the head bolts to strip (at least 3 of them), making the block garbage. whats weird was i didnt hear any detonation..... but could somebody point me in the direction of where my timing maps should be using a full y8 motor this time around?

ignition low cam

ignition high cam

I'm a bit confused.

Why are you blaiming timing for lifting the head?

running extremely rich (was still untuned), like 10-9:1 afr's plugs were black and getting fouled out it was so bad.

Yes, the ignition timing is the reason why you blew your engine. Download Crome or Uberdata and open the P2P aka D16Y8 ignition maps. It runs 16.75* of ignition timing at WOT NA in the high cam. You are running the same amount of ignition timing at ~10psi.

detonation, or causing big cylinder pressures causing it to pick it up

Makes since I just figured you'd kill a piston before detonation lifted the head.

I'm a noob, carry on.

The whole D16y8 map is a mystery for the most part. It really doesnt make sense. No one has shown the inititive to actually sit down and figure out whats going on. I will say that running the imported Y8 map has reduced the number of people suffering from said issues dramaticaly. I also dont agree with a lot of things said in that y8 thread i posted earlier as none of them bothered to play with the car on a dyno or with an advanced timing light. The butt dyno is not anything worth basing an opinion on.

Eh, whatever. Personally I suggest running the d16y8 map as is. tweaking it to run correctly. But dont do any of this nonsense changing the idle portion and advancing the dizzy. It doesnt make sense. Don't do it.
