Del Sol center vent gauge install
initially i wanted a A pillar dual gauge pod for my Sol but the only ones i found available specificly for the my application where the tripple gauge pods, which i don't care too much for. so then i figured since the Sols are soo small and i don't ever use the center vent anyways i might as well put some gauges in there... and it also catches less unwanted attention.
i cut some sheet metal to the inside shape of the vents, epoxied them in and then installed the gauges... this is the end result.
so... for people who own Del Sols and want an alternative to the A pillar pods... try this!

That looks nice and clean. Can you see them alright when driving, or do you have to take your eyes off the road too much?

Re: (.nate)
thanks for the positive comments... The boost i can see pretty easily but the oil i have to kinda of take my eyes off the road, which is ok. I don't mind too much because it only cost me about $3 to make. I was trying to make the gauges angled and recessed into the center vent but it was too much of a hassel for me.
a tip for anyone trying this is... try making the templates out of cardboard and then copy then onto whatever material your planning to use.

i'd like to see pics of your center vent.

Looks good I have had my gauges there for while now. In the summer it gets a little hot from lack of air flow. I will post pics asap.

Re: Del Sol center vent gauge install (atsdelsol)
I made a piece of abs plastic and filled in my radio din slot for 2 60mm guages.
i was working on the top vent pice myself for the other 60mm, my wideband, my turbo timer, and my hondata 3-step button.
but, i never finished it....
