De-pinning AEM UEGO connector
Any suggestions on how to depin the AEM UEGO connector? I need to pass it through the firewall and it's WAY too big to fit. I really don't want to cut a 1" hole in my firewall. I checked the AEM forums and found a post on it, but I've tried their suggestions and haven't been able to get the pins to release. Thanks.

it has release tabs on the top and bottom of each pin. you need to release the tabes from the terminal side.

Re: De-pinning AEM UEGO connector (Jared)
I had been trying to get to the tabs with anything that would fit (nails, wires, screwdrivers, etc). None of them worked. Finally, I found a de-pinning tool at NAPA (needed two of them). Instant success on all but one of them. Now, I'm ready to send it through the firewall and do some wiring.

NAPA part # 725168 Terminal Extractor Pick
It's actually on a 95 Chevy Monte Carlo (last dyno was roughly 10:1 AFR @ 7 psi- it badly needs tuning). The firewall hole already has 4 gauge wiring, a large boost line, and a ton of other wiring running through it. I can't even see it from the engine bay or the interior- it's buried in both.
It went straight through the firewall in my S2000- no depinning required.

Mac has a nice depin kit that I use on the UEGO connectors, one of the tools has two prongs and is perfect for this application.
