its not worth $2000.00 i can buy a gsr block from honda with a crank for that much. and it wont be legal in any import racing series till they sell 500 of them.

they are costing 2000 dollars come with any deck height you specify its pretty much a nice setup if you got the money to spend.

You can buy a gsr block for say 600 + 530 to sleeve 1130 for a sleeved GSR block compared to 2000 for dart/payn block

Still if you got the money go the dart payn if you dont stay gsr or whatever block you choose and get it sleeved.

Doesn't matter if it's 2k or 4k, still cheaper to pick up a dead b16 block and sleeve it to 84.5mm

I think I heard someone say in another thread that this block can possibly take up to a 87mm bore (or something close to that size) and still be strong enough for massive boost pressure. If you're going for some serious power, a FAT *** bore like that is the way to go Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on the size

when i asked one of the payn guys at the booth he told me the max bore on it would be a 84.5mm and the H series blocks will be bigger spread bore.

Cheaper to go with a GSR and sleeve it, if for street itz not worth the dart/payn. If your going serious, no doubt. It will most likely pass the NHRA rule book in May, the call is 99% sure it will pass, the judges are just waiting for a block that they will actually sell to the public to allow it into the racing series. I beliefe Tom will be at Englishtown on May 4th to get the final ruling and showing off the short block. This block will cost somewhere around 2000 and you still need a GSR crankshaft and all internals.

I am no expert, but it seems like this would be a good investment. People are always saying to save money and get a hondata instead of an FMU. It seems like the same kind of thing. An FMU will work, but isnt the best idea. A sleeved block will work, but it seems like it would not be at the same level as this block. This thing does not have sleeves correct. So it seems like it could withstand massive amounts of boost. If I were doing a new block Id wait and get this one.

The Standard deck block with a 81.5mm (1.8L) or 84.5mm (2.0L) bore should be no more than $2,000.00. The tall deck should be around $2,150.00. We are also working on a spray bore the will accommodate larger bores.

The blocks will also accommodate oil sprayers, but will not come with the sprayers.

The blocks will easily handle 20psi without any problems. For a high boost (30+ psi), I would recommend an 83mm or smaller bore. You could run larger, but I would rather be on the safe side and be able to bore it out later if you grenade a piston. The sleeves are replaceable and if the block is busted for some reason, it can be welded and remachined.

The factory main caps are cast iron, where as ours are billet steel. I have talked to a couple Pro racers who have split the stock blocks with sleeves do to the weakness of the stock main webbing. Our block webbing is over 5x stronger than any of the current blocks available. They will not need a girdle.

You guys need to look beyond the sleeves... there is a lot more to a block than the sleeves. Main journal distortion can cost a lot of HP from crank bind. We have seen 20-30 HP with V8's changing to an aftermarket block. I am expecting to see 5-10 HP with just the block on an NA application.

The block should be legalized as soon as we have production piece available to submitt to the rules committees.

With shipping a properly sleeved production block is $900.00-$1,000.00. A GSR block is around $600.00 and once the block is machinged for the sleeves you just weakened the bottom end of the block.

thanks for filing us in, I know your product is quality if you have anything to do with the dart bowtie block, Billy frutious of speedway runs a 406CI block that weighs next to nothing and runs 8.40 at 167 in a street corvette with 300lbs worth of stereo - he cleans up at GM high tech shootout every year and says that stock or other blocks would not handle th epunishment. honda makes a great block for 140hp in the LS, asking to make 600+ is a lot without help, every other form of racing has aftermarket heads and blocks, Dart / Payn should know what they are doing - so can I have a sponsorhsip next year, i do tens with stock sleeves, gimme a block and Ill do nines with a street car.
