You'll get slightly over 500whp out of the turbo, no matter what boost level you throw at it, or what manifold you'll use..

Just preparing ya. .
So the turbo runs out of breath just North of 500 HP regardless of what intake, throttle body etc... I choose. If anything I will just make the HP at a lower PSI. I could care less about dyno #'s i just want the fastest set-up possible with a GT3076R.

Not with that type of turbo. This particular unit doesn't even start to get efficient until above 14psi regardless of manifold. Its just based upon the engineering of the purpose of the turbo like any other; Its hard to change its behaviour when each turbo has actual effective boost pressure ranges. this is why you have these % "islands" on compressor maps.

Is this worth it? Not to make more peak power but to potentially go faster. Of course I would need the corresponding manifold.

Welp.. Short answer is yes (with an "if"), long answer, no (with a "but...").

See, unlike ATP's attempt to recreate the GT32's T3 divided housing and calling it a "twin scroll" in the .78 A/R, which didn't garner any real positive results (The GT32 Replica didn't respond any better than a .63A/R, and lagged a little less than the .82A/R), these actually use a twin volute channel system that divides all throughout the path of the exhaust volute, and has the possibility of reacting in a way a true twin-scroll would work......But, The problem is you have to utilize the right exhaust manifold. A "Ramhorn" doesn't separate the runners so that optimal exhaust energy velocity can enter into each channel effectively enough to garner the benefits of the twin scroll design. Changing to something with a bit better runner separation has shown better results in midrange power from about 3800-7000rpms. Your Spoolin' A-Spec or Sheepey/JDL Auto Design "Bottom mount" would take better advantage of the use of a true twin scroll exhaust housing like the Ni-Resist.

This also means that the Ultra race manifold and CNC job will more than likely render your potential for midrange gains even further moot than without it. I admit, the material is fantastic, never rusts, and is rather lightweight compared to the standard cast counterpart. But for an additional $550 bucks? I wouldn't say its not worth it, but based upon the rest of your hardware setup for what you're doing, I think the money could be better spent in camshaft and intake manifold choice over just the Ni-Resist turbine housing. This piece shows more of its benefits when the rest of the hardware works with the turbine housing design, than just expecting "magic" from the turbine housing alone.

Short Block is still at the machine shop, my turbo is on its way to The Shodan for a TR3030R upgrade, and my intake is on its way to 4 piston. The other day I scored a Skunk2 90 mm throttle body on the cheap which is awesome cause so far nothing has been cheap. I am going to take the opportunity with this down time to change the front hubs and install extended wheel studs. Can't wait to get all the parts back!

Finally some progress!!! Got my turbo back from The Shodan and it looks awesome! GT3076R--->TR3030R

Also got my short block back from the machine shop.

All I am waiting on now is a turbo manifold and I can throw this thing together.

Thanks, I read in the drag section about the Supertech valves dropping. The more I searched the more carnage I found. I will be pulling out the Supertech valves for Ferrea competition plus.

Yea it's will be cheaper than a new head block and turbo 👍

Not to mention months of down time

I read of the same issue with supertech valves and ot made me feel better about trashing every supertech valve in my head when my tensioner came loose and jumped timing. 16 bent valves, zero damage anywhere else

Just ordered this manifold with a V-band turbo flange and a 3" V-band down pipe as well.

I believe it was $600.00

The Shodan has my .83 Tial V-band housing and is waiting on my manifold and down pipe to complete so he can ceramic coat all of it at once. Sorry I left that out.
