Damnit, i keep blowing my turbo seals...Why
Help...
i run a turbo timer. I run good oil. I let the car reach full temp before i run it hard. I know the seals are professionally installed and turbo is balanced from innovative. I run a -3an the first time and they blew, then i ran a resrictor and they blew again....I know this cuz my car consumes oil and the compression is great and my turbo has oil in the pipe from the turbo to IC and oil around the compressor seal/back plate and on the bottom of the turbo. i know the drain flange isnt leaking and im running like a 45 degree bend off the turbo to a 3/4in. line, its huge. No kinks. My oil press gauge reads about 74psi while cruising at 70mph and 95psi at WOT.
What is the deal?
CLiff notes: Oil in IC pipe from Turbo to IC, but the IC pipe from IC to TB is clean due to the IC filtering it? Oil around the back plate on compressor side and on bottom of housing.

Just because you have good compression doesn't mean your car isn't consuming oil.

I think your oil pressure is too high.
Check your helms, I think your oil pump is bad, you shouldn't hit 95psi ever!
There are limits to the oil pump before the release valve is supposed to open, maybe there's something wrong with the valve?
I have a -3 line (NO RESTRICTOR) and I have zero problems for over 9 months.

well, even if my engine DID consume some oil, how would that relate to my oil on the comp housing and and in the IC pipe?
I heard of hondas wit that high of Oil press.
at idle it is 25psi roughly maybe 20 psi

what weight oil are u using? is the breather from the valve cover connected to ure charge pipe? maybe theres excess oil shooting through ure breather into the charge pipe and into ure engine

If that were the case there would be no "wet" oil in the exhaust.
There is oil getting into both the exhaust and the intake, so in all likelyhood it is a feed/drain problem.
Tell us exactly how the oiling system is constructed. You are taking oil from the sending unit port? -3AN, then what kind of restrictor? The drain is big, but what size are the fittings in the turbo and the oil pan? Where is the fitting on the oil pan? Are you sure it is above the oil level?
I had a lot of problems with my drain line, which was -8AN with -8AN fittings in the turbo, but I was blowing oil past the seals because the fitting in the block went from -8AN to 1/4" NPT, which was too small, and I had to increase it to 1/2" NPT.
There is oil getting into both the exhaust and the intake, so in all likelyhood it is a feed/drain problem.
