Damn Charge pipes blowing off my Compressor again & again & again....
I've tried everything I can think of. I've bought t-bolt clamps but the two closest sizes are too big and too small. They have blown off at least 20 times in 3 weeks! They are only blowing off my compressor housing, all other connections have a weld bead around the edge. Please tell me how to fix this

which side does it blow off,the pipe or the compressor?im assuming the compressor has a lip on it,does your pipe have a beed on it?if not put one on it,you can use epoxy if you have to but i would suggest getting it welded,i use 2 clamps on mine.

use the hairspray or get 100 grit sandpaper and sand down about an inch from the edge..., 100 grit should do the trick...

You could also try tightening the clamps with a socket wrench, if you haven't tried already. I usually tighten until the metal strap sticking out starts to bend from tightening.

Assuming you dont have a bead on the pipe, take it to the local welder and have him put a booger weld on opposing sides of the pipe where the clamp would be. This way the clamp stops at the booger. It acts as a bead on beadless pipes. GLTY(good luck to you)

Thanks guys, I already sanded it and I'll throw some hairspray on it and see how that works!
