i hear the d16y7 y8 have one oil hole per journal and are likely to spin a bearing. but some say youll be good with a z6 pump. i dont wanna spend all this money and spin a bearing but i CANNOT find a good z6 crank. where as i found a few y7 y8 and i already have standard ACL race bearings..



soo should i bore out the z6 oil pump to match the block and smooth the corner so it flows better as seen on THE OLD ONE D SERIES engine building tips??

the will be a DD i just really dont wanna have a summer worth of work for a month of fun and have a bearin spun. what have you done?

If it was me, i would never run a y8 crank due to it having only one oil hole on each journal, like you said, it's not worth the risk.

Have you tried looking at d16a6's for cranks? Those are the same as the z6.

ya man, western pa had NOTHING west virginia has nothing. have a feeling im gonna have to go on road trip
