D16z6 Build: Wiseco (.50 over) or CP (std bore)?
I'm currently gathering parts to build my D16z6 block for boost. I placed an order for Wiseco 75.5mm pistons, which have 8.5:1 compression. My goal is 300whp daily driven.
I didn't really think too much about it at first, but now I was wondering if I should be worried about the D-series sleeves being bored out .50 over. I know B-series sleeves can handle 600whp and be fine, but I'm not too sure about D-series and I'm getting a bit worried about thinning them out.
What do you guys think? Will the sleeves be fine if bored out .50 over?
Should I maybe get a Golden Eagle Blockguard just in case?
Should I sell the pistons and get some standard bore CP pistons with slightly higher compression (9.0:1)?
THanks in advance!
